Validity and exemptions
Proof must be valid on enrolment. If a certificate has no validity date, it can be no older than four academic years, counting from the academic year after you obtained it. Some programmes are stricter.
Ghent's general exemptions cover one year (60 credits) of English-taught study only in countries that ratified the Lisbon Recognition Convention, the European Higher Education Area or the USA, which leaves out India and Pakistan. Some programmes go further: Environmental Technology and Engineering, and Soils and Global Change, exempt English-taught bachelor's holders from listed countries including India, Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Ghent programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
