What IELTS score do you need for Sacred Heart University?

Accepted scores are TOEFL PBT 550, TOEFL iBT or Home Edition 4 (old score 80), TOEFL Essentials 8.5, Academic IELTS 6.5, PTE 62, Duolingo 110 with a production score of at least 85, Cambridge C1 Advanced 180, iTEP 5, GTEC 1200, Oxford Test of English Advanced 135, or completion of ELS 112, EF Level C1 or Level 6 of SHU's English Language Institute. For graduate applicants, every non-native English speaker needs one official score report or an acceptable waiver. Some graduate programs may require minimum band scores; the MS in Healthcare Informatics asks for IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.5, TOEFL 4 (85 on the old scale with no section below 16) or Duolingo 110 with no subscore below 85 and production 90. SHU offers provisional acceptance to students who do not meet the minimum English requirements; they complete ESL courses at SHU's English Language Institute or another ESL school before starting their academic program. If you have no English test score, or a score below the minimum, you complete and upload the ESL Exam Waiver Request for provisional acceptance with your application. SHU does not list exempt countries on this page, so ask International Admissions whether an English-medium degree from India or Pakistan is accepted.
