Fog questions with sample answers

1

Is it often foggy where you live?

Not especially, no. We usually only get thick fog a handful of times in late autumn. When it does roll in, it tends to blanket the park near my flat, which looks quite atmospheric on my morning walk.

2

Do you like foggy weather?

To be honest, I quite enjoy it as long as I don't have to drive anywhere. There's a real sense of calm and stillness when everything is muffled. I usually just stay indoors with a hot cup of tea.

3

Have you ever experienced any travel delays because of fog?

Yes, absolutely. A couple of years ago, my morning train into the city centre was cancelled due to poor visibility on the tracks. I ended up waiting on a freezing platform for nearly an hour before giving up.

4

Do you prefer sunny days or foggy days?

I'd definitely choose sunny weather overall. While misty mornings have a certain charm, bright sunshine puts me in a much better mood and makes it far easier to get outside and go cycling with friends.

5

Do you think foggy weather will become more common in your area?

I'm not really sure, but I suspect it might decrease where I live. Our winters seem to be getting milder and windier, which tends to blow the mist away before it can properly settle over the streets.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
