Salads questions with sample answers

1

Do you often eat salads?

Yes, pretty much every day, especially for lunch. It's just a really convenient way to get some fresh vegetables into my diet while I'm at work. I usually prepare a simple bowl with chopped cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and a light olive oil dressing to take with me.

2

What kind of salads do you like best?

I'm definitely a big fan of Greek salad. I love the combination of tangy feta cheese, black olives, and crisp lettuce. It feels quite refreshing, particularly during the summer months when it's too hot to cook anything heavy over the stove.

3

Did you enjoy eating salads when you were a child?

Not at all, to be honest. Like most kids, I used to find leafy greens quite bitter and boring, so I'd always push them to the side of my plate. It wasn't until my late teens that I actually started to appreciate them.

4

Do people in your country eat a lot of salad?

I'd say so, yes, though it's usually served as a side dish rather than a main meal. Whenever we have a family barbecue or a roast dinner on a Sunday, there's almost always a big bowl of tossed salad on the table to share.

5

Would you like to learn how to make different types of salads?

I suppose so, yes. At the moment, my recipes are fairly basic, so it'd be great to master a few homemade dressings and learn how to incorporate things like roasted nuts, grains, or grilled chicken to make them a bit more filling.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
