Batteries questions with sample answers

1

Do you use many devices that rely on batteries?

Yes, quite a few actually. Aside from my mobile phone and laptop, I have a wireless mouse and a television remote that both need batteries to work. It feels like almost every gadget in my flat requires some sort of power source these days.

2

How often do you have to charge your mobile phone?

I’d say at least once a day, usually overnight. I use my phone constantly for work emails and listening to podcasts during my morning commute, so by the time evening comes around, the battery level is usually down to about twenty percent.

3

Have you ever run out of battery power at an inconvenient time?

Definitely. A couple of months ago, my phone died just as I was trying to show my digital train ticket to an inspector. It was quite stressful, and I had to quickly plug it into a portable power bank to turn it back on.

4

Do you prefer rechargeable batteries or single-use ones?

I definitely prefer rechargeable ones. Even though they can be a bit pricier initially, they save money over time and are much better for the environment. I use them for gaming controllers so I do not produce unnecessary waste.

5

Do you think battery life in electronics will improve in the future?

I'm sure it will. Tech companies are constantly investing in better energy storage, so I expect devices will soon last for days on a single charge. That would make travelling a lot easier without carrying multiple power cables.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
